My short film Joyrider has been selected for THE CROSSING: Finding Our Way Home Through Stories, a new global anthology series from ABS-CBN and FilAm Creative.
Joyrider appears in Episode 9: Tidal Feelings, a thematic grouping about loss, identity, longing, and change. It's a fitting home for my film, and I'm honored to be included alongside the other filmmakers in this episode.
The series is a 24-part anthology drawn from the FilAm Creative Film Festival of Los Angeles, featuring 50 narratives, documentaries, and experimental projects that explore identity, migration, memory, and belonging across the global Filipino experience. It airs across ABS-CBN's international platforms including TFC, MYX, ANC, and Cinemo with Filipino audiences in North America, EMEA, and APAC.
Joyrider is a story about a little boy's journey against the winds of change. I directed, wrote, and produced it, and it stars my son Ronin, my wife Tara, myself, and Garrett O'Brien.
When to watch:
The Crossing begins airing June 13, 2026 on TFC:
North America: Sundays at 11 PM Pacific
EMEA: Saturdays at 4:45 PM Saudi / 3:45 PM Madrid
APAC: Saturdays at 9:45 PM Asia / 11:45 PM Guam
